Job summary

TenCate Americas is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong heavy civil and sitework background to lead complex private and public projects across the Midwest. You will oversee the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive construction project-management experience, with heavy civil/sitework focus.
• Experience independently managing complex projects including budgets, schedules, procurement, change management, and closeout.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil means and methods, site-development scopes, constructability, and risk.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and follow-through.
• Strong financial and business acumen to manage budgets, forecasts, cost exposure, change orders, and profitability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, operations, estimators, field teams, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy civil, sitework projects from preconstruction through turnover and closeout.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, procurement plans, and change orders.
• Review contracts, plans, specs, estimates, and scope documents for deliverables and risks.
• Coordinate with Estimating and Operations during turnover to validate scope and pricing.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal resources to meet safety, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor costs, billings, forecasts, and variances; take corrective action as needed.
• Lead project meetings and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage risks related to scope, schedule, site conditions, and logistics.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, documentation, and notices per contract.
• Support field leadership to ensure safe, efficient execution and alignment with plans.
• Provide mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, Coordinators, and others.
