Job summary

Semgrep is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Guardian platform to embed security analysis into the software lifecycle. You will lead the platform team, partnering with product and design to craft a roadmap and deliver low-latency risk verdict integrations across agents, MCP, IDEs and SDKs.

This hybrid role requires 3+ years of leadership, a strong product development background, and a commitment to mentorship, diverse hiring, and high standards for technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong foundation in product development and production delivery via a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiarity with agile development principles and iterative milestone development.
• Desire to help engineers and leaders grow through coaching and mentorship.
• Experience building durable platforms, APIs, or SDKs for developers; developer tooling or security products.

Responsibilities

• Create a roadmap for the platform that balances iterative changes with big bets.
• Direct your team's schedule, balancing new tech development with internal/external needs.
• Coach engineers and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
• Build an environment of trust that rewards creativity and personal responsibility.
