Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience owning hiring, performance management, coaching, and team-structure decisions.
• Proven record leading product delivery teams and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Experience managing multiple teams or pods in software development.
• Technical fluency across a modern stack; able to participate in architecture/tradeoffs.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development or productivity tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery across all teams or pods, including prioritization, staffing, execution, and quality.
• Directly manage engineers, including hiring, performance management, development planning, and team structure decisions.
• Coach engineers through regular feedback, technical discussion, and growth-focused leadership.
• Partner with product, UX, architecture, security, and other engineering leaders to align priorities and deliver shared outcomes.
• Guide technical direction by collaborating with architects and senior/principal engineers on design tradeoffs and implementation approach.
• Define and track engineering excellence metrics that fit the team context, such as delivery predictability, quality, and team health.
• Support adoption of AI-assisted development practices within the organization.
• Contribute to incident reviews and translate root-cause findings into architecture and process improvements.
• Balance delivery commitments with management of technical debt, system reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Apply AI tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve planning, delivery, and team effectiveness.
