Xcel Energy, Inc. is seeking a Mastery-level Distribution Designer to deliver cost-effective distribution designs for commercial, industrial, residential, and internal customers.

The role serves as primary contact for customers, coordinating with construction and design teams, and may involve mentoring, travel, and after-hours support. Positions span Design I–Principal levels with a starting base pay of $29.40–$62.13 per hour and benefits.

Qualificações

• Assoc. degree (or equivalent) in drafting/design/automation/electronics/mechatronics/engineering/GIS or related field.
• Working knowledge of GIS, design software, work management programs and related systems desirable.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).

Responsabilidades

• Design safe operating facilities for new and existing customers per standards.
• Manage projects from initial contact through post-project analysis; align with schedules and budgets.
• Mentor and train Designers; foster teamwork across groups.
• Represent the company with officials, contractors, and engineers to serve customers.
• Obtain permits and easements; execute contracts per requirements.
