Xcel Energy in the United States is seeking a Mastery level Distribution Designer to manage design projects for various customers, balancing cost and customer needs. The role covers complex distribution design and acts as a primary liaison with customers, contractors, and government agencies.

Travel and on-call support may be involved. Multiple levels (I–Senior) with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree or equivalent in design/drafting, automation, electronics, or GIS.
• Experience with GIS, design software and work management systems desirable.
• Proficient with Windows OS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design safe operating facilities per standards and guidelines.
• Provide distribution design project management across design areas.
• Generate revenue through new business and existing customers.
• Manage projects from initial contact to post-project analysis.
• Coordinate construction work plans to meet schedule and budget.
