Job summary

DC Byte is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join the Americas team based in Reston, Virginia, focusing on data centre market intelligence across the region. You will collect, validate, and analyze market and site-level data with attention to regulatory, environmental, and infrastructure factors shaping data centre growth in North America.

In this role you’ll collaborate with research, analytics, and commercial teams to deliver market-leading insights for developers, investors, and hyperscale

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in real estate, data centre development, or infrastructure research.
• Familiarity with data centre site selection factors including power, fibre connectivity, water availability, and proximity to hyperscale demand.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to craft client-ready materials with clarity and insight.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Management: Conduct detailed market research on data centre developments, land acquisitions, and infrastructure investments across assigned markets in North America; Gather and verify information from public sources, filings, planning databases, and stakeholders; Maintain and update DC Byte’s proprietary database; Track policy, zoning, and permitting developments.
• Market & Policy Analysis: Analyse market and regulatory trends to identify opportunities, bottlenecks, and pricing dynamics; Develop regional insights into power, connectivity, water and real estate availability; Produce maps, dashboards and written reports.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Networking: Build and maintain relationships with developers, brokers, planning consultants, utilities, and public officials; Attend industry conferences across North America; Act as a trusted subject matter expert for clients.
