Job summary

Main Sequence Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney / Corporate Counsel with 5+ years' experience to lead the company’s litigation and employment matters, provide strategic legal advice, and manage outside counsel.

This direct-hire role offers up to $140K base per year plus annual discretionary bonus, with regular hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and potential overtime balanced by good work/life balance.

Qualifications

• BA from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in Iowa or eligible to obtain admission to the Iowa Bar.
• 5+ years’ experience with significant responsibility for litigation management and employment/labor counseling.
• Experience with combination of in-house and private practice experience desired.
• Experience managing complex litigation matters.
• Experience managing auto liability and workers’ compensation claims and litigation strongly preferred.
• Experience within transportation, logistics, trucking or similar operational industry preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of litigation management, workers’ compensation, auto liability, labor law, employment law.
• Experience responding to EEOC charges, labor disputes.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.

• Leading the company’s management of litigation and employment-related legal matters.
• Overseeing auto liability, workers’ compensation, employment, labor, and commercial litigation.
• Managing outside counsel.
• Providing strategic legal advice to Human Resources and other business leaders.
• Handling agency matters involving EEOC.
• Developing and implementing litigation strategy.
• Partnering with claims, operations, safety, and human resources.
• Supporting labor management initiatives.
• Reviewing, developing and maintaining company policies and procedures.

Our client seeks a Senior Corporate Attorney / Corporate Counsel with 5+ years' experience.

This is a direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $140K per year, based on your experience, plus annual discretionary bonus. You will work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. There may be some OT but good work/life balance.
