Placements24 seeks a Construction Project Planner to join our client’s expanding team in Gauteng. The role focuses on scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring, with a hybrid office/site arrangement.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in construction planning, proficiency in MS Project/Primavera P6, and strong analytical abilities to forecast timelines and optimize workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Min 5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using planning software.
• Define scope, phases, tasks and deliverables with dependencies and critical paths.
• Estimate resources (labor, materials, equipment) for each phase.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and site supervisors to refine schedules.
• Monitor progress and identify delays, propose proactive solutions.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules and analyses.
