Placements24 is seeking a Senior Construction Planner to lead the development and management of detailed construction schedules for large-scale projects in a hybrid East London environment. You will work with project managers, engineers, and site teams to define scope, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in construction planning and scheduling on large, complex projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; MS Project expertise.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and lifecycles.
• Experience in developing resource-loaded schedules and critical path analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and collaboration with diverse teams.
• Experience in the Eastern Cape market is advantageous.
• Certifications in planning (PSP, CCP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop master schedules and detailed construction plans for large-scale projects.
• Use Primavera P6 / MS Project to create, maintain, and update schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to define scope and milestones.
• Analyze progress, identify delays, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare schedule impact assessments and look-ahead schedules.
• Lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
• Integrate design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Identify critical path activities and monitor progress.
• Develop resource loading and leveling plans for labor and equipment.
• Contribute to tender planning and bid schedules.
