Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Construction Manager to ensure work readiness, coordinate with PMs/Outage Managers, and align resources with project milestones. The role covers planning, scheduling, and field execution across CA projects with hybrid work and substantial travel.

The position requires a civil/ME/CM background and 5 years in industrial engineering or construction, with 7 years preferred. Salary range reflects California market and discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng or equivalent.
• 5 years in industrial engineering or construction.
• 7 years preferred in industrial engineering or construction.
• Experience with scheduling and cost accounting.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation, and pipeline construction management).
• Attends job scope walk downs with PG&E Engineers and Project Managers, leads scope discussions with Gas Operation Supervisors.
• Interprets and writes scope documentation and contributes to decision-making on contract work.
• Reviews RFPS to confirm financial data matches job scope.
• Leads design reviews and coordinates IFC drawings, scope and schedules with stakeholders.
• Manages contractor communications, meetings, and field walkthroughs.
• Ensures safety plans are followed and environmental permits are complied with.
• Supports pre-construction cycle, project walks, and approvals for kickoff and material deliveries.
