Located in Pomona, the role offers hybrid-remote work with in-office/field presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The candidate has 10+ years of experience in overhead and underground transmission construction, with strong knowledge of California regulatory requirements and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related technical discipline or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Project Management certificate required.
• 10+ years of experience in overhead and underground distribution, subtransmission, and bulk transmission powerline construction.
• 5+ years of construction management and oversight on distribution, subtransmission, and bulk transmission projects.
• 5+ years of experience with California utility regulatory requirements (G.O. 95, 128, 165, 131-d).
• 5+ years of experience with federal and state environmental regulations (USFWS, USACE, USFS, BLM, BIA, CDFW, RWQCB)

Responsibilities

• Participate in initial field reviews to discuss project alternatives with Transmission Engineering and Environmental teams.
• Maintain alignment of design with engineering needs, construction feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct field reviews to develop construction activity plans and durations.
• Prepare narrative construction plans detailing activities, personnel, and durations.
• Create Google Earth map sets of construction areas and coordinate with GIS team.
• Develop list of required permits for the project.
• Support EHSync data entries and respond to data requests from environmental and government teams.
• Assist in Project Execution Strategy reviews and determine responsible party for construction.
• Support Grid resources to implement TLRR Program Plan requirements.
• Develop bid specifications and scopes of work for contracted project work.
• Attend bid walks and conferences, answer technical questions, and assist in bid review.
• Participate in project construction kickoff meetings and regular progress meetings.
• Meet with Contractors to address performance issues and provide feedback on QA/QC documentation.
• Assist Final Acceptance and Closeout activities as needed.
