Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking a Construction Manager to ensure work readiness and communicate execution challenges to the GC Planning and Execution Team. The role includes coordinating with Project Managers, gathering planning data from scoping to construction turnover, and developing class ROM/30/50/100% estimates and schedules.

Location is hybrid within the PG&E Service Territory (Redding or Burney); travel about 50% of the time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CM/CE/ME or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering or construction fields.
Knowledge of scheduling and cost control is preferred.

Responsibilities

Applies advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines including civil, electrical, process instrumentation and pipeline construction management.
Attends job scope walk downs with engineers and project managers; leads scope discussions with supervisors; conducts site visits.
Interprets and writes work scope documentation; participates in contract decision making with managers.
Reviews RFPs to verify financial data aligns with job scope.
Leads design reviews and reviews IFC drawings with project teams to discuss scope and schedule.
Ensures contractor safety plans and environmental permits are followed; acts as field Incident Commander as needed.
