Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development in Farmington Hills, MI (with occasional Toledo, OH options) to lead projects from concept through construction. The role requires strong design, permitting, and client coordination leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in land development, a PE license in Ohio or Michigan, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Hybrid schedules and broad benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of progressive land development experience.
• Professional Engineer license in Ohio or Michigan; reciprocity possible.
• Experience with site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with codes and municipal review processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support land development projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare and review site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater plans.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, and teams to move projects forward.
• Assist with technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Provide construction-phase support, including field observations and submittal reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to quality control.
