Morningstar DBRS in Chicago is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation frameworks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will lead automation strategy, build Python-based web QA tests, integrate with CI/CD and AI-assisted tooling, mentor teammates, and contribute to technology standards across the QA group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Assurance and Testing, including 3+ years automation.
• Strong Selenium WebDriver experience and test management tools (ALM, TestRail, Jira).
• Experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS.
• Experience with API testing (Rest Assured, ReadyAPI).
• Experience integrating automation in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and establish the automation strategy and testing processes.
• Build end-to-end web QA automation with Python for the back end.
• Lead QA initiatives and coordinate cross-functional testing activities.
• Participate in team ceremonies and communicate project status.
• Mentor and develop automation skills across the QA group.
