System One, Inc. is seeking a Lead API Developer to drive design, development, and support of enterprise-scale APIs and backend services across Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Dallas with a hybrid onsite/remote model.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in Java/J2EE, extensive Spring Boot and microservices experience, and 8+ years in REST/SOAP services. You will mentor engineers, steer API standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• 8+ years of RESTful and/or SOAP web services development.
• 5+ years of Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with Release Management and production deployment.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs, microservices, and backend applications.
• Lead API development efforts and provide technical mentorship to team members.
• Build and support Java-based RESTful services integrated with internal and external systems.
• Drive API standards, architecture decisions, and development best practices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Create technical designs and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Support release planning, change management, production deployments, and post-release validation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with business, product, and technical stakeholders in an Agile environment.
