Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) and/or Solution Train Engineer (STE) to lead agile trains and coordinate multi-train integration for defense programs. The role emphasizes roadmaps, cross-team synchronization, and Lean/CI practices to optimize delivery.

You will champion digital engineering tools and analytics while ensuring alignment with customer needs and program requirements. Hybrid work arrangement and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile or Integrated Product teams and Agile lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, Engineering Workflow Manager).
• Ability to develop and manage Agile roadmaps across multiple teams or trains.
• Proven capability to lead multi-team synchronization, dependencies, and impediments resolution.
• Experience using Agile metrics and Earned Value data to monitor performance and guide actions.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycles, integration/testing, and multi-domain systems.
• Background in digital engineering practices such as MBSE, analytics, or automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Senior Release Train Engineer and/or Solution Train Engineer for complex, multi-team Agile trains.
• Lead development and management of Agile roadmaps across teams, trains, and stakeholders.
• Plan and facilitate Agile events including Increment Planning, Roadmapping, Retrospectives, and Risk Management Reviews.
• Identify, remove, and mitigate cross-team impediments that affect cost, schedule, or technical performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and program leadership to keep roadmaps aligned with customer needs.
• Drive Lean/CI improvements to enhance flow and reduce waste across trains.
• Promote digital engineering tools and automation to improve decision-making and delivery.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and system behaviors for technical alignment.
• Monitor delivery and Earned Value metrics and drive preventive/corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to processes, configuration management, and program requirements.
