Job summary
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Agile Release Train Engineer / Solution Train Engineer to lead complex, multi-team Agile trains and drive program roadmaps for defense programs. Hybrid work in the US is available, with security clearance requirements in place.
The role emphasizes cross-team synchronization, Lean principles, and digital engineering adoption to optimize delivery performance and compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience leading Agile trains and multiple teams.
- Experience with Agile roadmaps across trains or programs.
- Ability to drive Lean and CI improvements and optimize delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Senior Release Train Engineer and/or Solution Train Engineer for complex, multi-team Agile trains
- Lead development, communication, and management of Agile roadmaps across teams, trains, and solution-level stakeholders
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Agile Events including Increment Planning, Roadmapping, Retrospectives, Program Performance Reviews, and Risk Management Reviews
- Identify, remove, and mitigate cross-team impediments affecting cost, schedule, or technical performance
- Work with engineering, product, and program leadership to keep roadmaps accurate and aligned with mission needs
- Promote digital engineering tools, analytics, and automation to improve decision-making and delivery
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies, integration points, and technical alignment
- Monitor delivery and Earned Value metrics and trigger corrective actions as needed
- Ensure adherence to engineering processes and configuration-management standards
- Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across trains
