The Malco Group is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial information through analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement. This role supports month-end and year-end close, prepares financial reports, and ensures GAAP compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams.

A strong background in manufacturing cost accounting—inventory, fixed assets, standard cost, and variances—is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred.
• GAAP knowledge, ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred), and Sage Fixed Assets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Creates journal entries, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts for monthly and annual financial close.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure all entries comply with GAAP.
• Review accuracy of financial data before distribution.
• Analyze inventory activity, standard costing variances, and fixed assets related to manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Engineering, and New Product teams.
• Support continuous improvement across manufacturing cost processes.
• Sales and tax filings.
• Support Controller with the annual budget process.
• Ensure compliance with financial institution requirements.
• Manage fixed assets and inventory accounting.
• Facilitate insurance renewals and prepare materials for audits.
