Job summary

Hightower Advisors in Chicago seeks a Senior Accountant & Finance Systems Associate blending accounting expertise with payroll and HRIS support. You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements, maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and assist budgets and forecasts to drive strategic decisions.

The role splits roughly 60% accounting and 40% payroll/compliance and HRIS/people analytics, partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, Technology and business leaders to ensure accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Support budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for management.
• Coordinate payroll postings and payroll tax filings with HR/payroll teams.
• Develop and maintain HR dashboards and data integrity across systems.
