Job summary

Koniag Emerging Technologies, LLC is seeking a Security Specialist I to support the DOE OCIO HQ and-related programs, with hybrid work at Germantown, MD. The role collaborates with senior staff to manage security actions, training, and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of federal personnel security experience or an associate degree and possess strong communication skills, familiarity with DOE processes, and the ability to work both remotely and onsite as required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and/or 7+ years of federal government personnel security experience preferred.
• Federal Agency Personnel security processing experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and records management in Library style format.
• Knowledge of NISPOM and HQ Master Security Plan; capable of applying them.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSO Support and represent contractor security program.
• Process PIV and personnel security requests per HSPD-12.
• Manage CATS eCAR sponsorship and security actions.
• Ensure timely processing and notification of security requests.
• Onboarding/offboarding requirements with Industry FSO.
