Security Specialist – Entity Triage/Facility Clearance (FCL )

This positionis located intheU.S Department of Energy (DOE)Office of Industrial Security (EHSS-42)and serves as a SecuritySpecialiston the Entity Triage/Facility Clearance (FCL) Team. Thispositionprovides crucial support for national security byassistingwith the process of granting andmaintainingfacility clearances forDOE contractors. The work involves reviewing sensitive security documents, conducting research to support determinationsregardingforeign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI), and managing critical data within the Safeguards and Security Information Management System (SSIMS).
The primary responsibilities of this role include the detailed review and processing of security specifications and facility records, data management, and providing analytical support for vetting contract awardees. The employee will alsoassistwith annual oversight activities to ensure continued eligibility for cleared facilities and help coordinate programmatic events like the annual FOCI/FCL Workshop. This position requires strong administrative skills, an understanding of industrial security principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the DOE’s industrial security program.
