Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager in Tampa (Hybrid: 2 days on-site). The role leads external reporting, ensures GAAP compliance, and serves as the go-to expert on technical accounting matters for wealth advisory services.

The candidate will own SEC filings, analyze complex transactions (ASC 606, acquisitions, debt/equity), and liaise with external auditors. Strong IFRS knowledge is a plus; CPA is required and Series 27/28 may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification required or equivalent experience in SEC reporting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with focus on SEC reporting and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy).
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP and SEC rules to complex transactions.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit on SOX controls and disclosures.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies reflecting GAAP and SEC rules.
• Coordinate with external auditors on SEC reporting matters and positions.
• Work with Legal, Investor Relations, Treasury, and FP&A for accurate disclosures.
