Job summary
Nordstrom in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Print Designer to join our in-house Design team, creating exclusive prints for Nordstrom Made brands and leading design direction. You will manage the process from concept to completion, research trends, and present seasonal boards showcasing print direction to drive market-relevant concepts.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Apparel/Fashion/ Textile/Print/Graphic Design with 7–10 years of experience and is proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop,
Qualifications
- Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design/Textile/Print/Graphic Design
- 7-10 years of experience
- Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics, Procreate and/or Fresco
- Strong design and conceptual skills with textile and color knowledge
- Collaborative, well-organized and capable of coaching team members
Responsibilities
- Manage the design process from concept to completion, aligning with priorities and artwork direction
- Shop and research marketplace for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash and color
- Lead multiple brands and categories with expert market awareness
- Create print and color direction; present design boards each season
- Develop print concepts and seasonal direction
- Ensure prints align with market trends, budget and technical parameters
- Provide leadership and coach staff, fostering a collaborative environment
- Own partnership with CFTs and oversee catering content
- Travel seasonally for research and product development
