Nordstrom Made is seeking a Senior Designer to lead a design team in creating apparel that reflects the brand's DNA and seasonal concept direction. You will guide concept through production, shaping fabric, silhouette, and finish while partnering with senior leadership to maintain design integrity and drive commercial results.

The ideal candidate blends elevated design with strong executive function, tracks deliverables across seasons, and mentors junior designers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive apparel design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Experience managing and mentoring design staff.
• Hands-on knowledge of fabric, silhouette, and finish development.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to balance creative vision with business results.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of multiple apparel categories each season from concept to production.
• Conduct global research on silhouette, color, and fabric innovation for commercial direction.
• Develop and source premium fabrics, trims, and construction techniques with Production and Sourcing.
• Lead fittings to ensure impeccable construction, drape, and tailoring standards.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to protect product integrity and margins.
• Mentor and coach design team members; foster creative excellence.
• Create presentation boards, CAD artwork, and illustrations to communicate seasonal vision.
