Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Print Designer to partner with our in-house Design team. You will create original artwork for Nordstrom Made brands, developing exclusive prints and saleable concepts that reflect style, color, and fabric with market relevance for the brand’s customer.

You will manage the design process from concept to completion, researching marketplace trends, and presenting design boards each season. Travel for research and product development is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design/Textile/Print/Graphic Design
• 7-10 years of experience
• Strong design and conceptual skills with strong textile and color knowledge
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics, Procreate and/or Fresco
• Positive and proactive with problem-solving and collaboration
• Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking
• Ability to coach, manage and develop direct reports

Responsibilities

• Manage design process from concept to completion with leadership alignment
• Shop and research marketplace for inspiration and opportunities
• Identify and present print and color trend directions for each season
• Create artwork and prints for each season
• Develop print story and seasonal direction
• Ensure prints align with market trends, cost, and technical parameters
• Provide leadership and coach staff; foster collaboration with partners
