Orion Placement in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced employment litigator to represent management-side clients across wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and related matters. The role offers exposure to both litigation and counseling with a collaborative team and strong professional development opportunities.

The successful candidate must be licensed in Washington and have 4+ years of relevant employment litigation experience, including handling state and federal actions and ADR.

Qualifications

• Washington State bar license required.
• 4+ years of employment litigation experience required.
• Management-side employment law experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and alternative dispute resolution.

Responsabilités

• Represent management-side clients in a broad range of employment and labor disputes.
• Handle employment litigation matters in Washington state and federal courts from case assessment through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission.
• Handle wage and hour class actions and other complex employment litigation.
• Advise clients regarding wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA, FMLA, non-compete, trade secret, and related employment matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations involving issues such as harassment, discrimination, ethics violations, and other sensitive workplace concerns.
• Provide practical employment counseling involving employment agreements, severance packages, workplace policies, and compliance.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare persuasive briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and clients to develop efficient, practical strategies for resolving employment disputes.
