Job summary

KLR is a leading full-service CPA and business advisory firm based in Andover, MA, offering assurance, tax and advisory services to private and publicly held companies. We seek an SBS Supervisor to join our Strategic Business Solutions Team on a flexible hybrid basis.

Responsibilities include managing client relationships, leading accounting and tax engagements, and mentoring staff. Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in accounting, 3+ years in public accounting, and CPA/EA or progress toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Approximately 3+ years of recent public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial statement reviews and compilations.
• CPA or EA designation, or active progress toward certification preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing partnership, S corporation, and individual tax returns (1065, 1120S, 1040).

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day client contact for engagements.
• Lead and execute accounting and tax engagements for privately held businesses and their owners.
• Prepare and review financial statements and related workpapers.
• Assist with accounting needs including journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Prepare and review federal/state tax returns (1065, 1120S, 1040).
• Assist with tax planning and year-round client needs.
• Coordinate engagement schedules and monitor budgets and deadlines.
• Review work with junior staff and provide guidance.
