Job summary

KLR is a leading CPA and business advisory firm in New England with offices in Andover, Boston, Lausanne, Newport, and Providence. We seek a Senior Manager to join our Strategic Business Solutions team in Andover, Providence or Boston on a flexible hybrid basis.

The role focuses on engagement management, reviews/ compilations, and tax planning for diverse clients. Qualifications include a CPA or pursuit, 7+ years in public accounting, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree and CPA/EA license or active pursuit of higher credentials preferred
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting, 2+ years of managerial experience highly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of ProFx Tax; ProFx Engagement; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; and QuickBooks
• Knowledge of BNA Tax, and ProFx Fixed Assets preferred, but training is available
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment and exercise sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key client contact for assigned engagements.
• Perform reviews and compilation engagements for various industries.
• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Perform tax planning for clients for year-end, including tax provisions, projections, and extensions.
• Act as a resource for less experienced associates and team members; delegate work and supervise staff to meet deadlines.
• Prepare bills and discuss fees with assigned clients.
• Establish good working relationships with all Partners, Managers and staff members.
• Assist with special projects and manage various tasks at hand.
