Job summary

The Goley Companies’ Goley Insulation in Illinois is seeking a Sales Manager to lead insulation sales with a hybrid field-and-leadership role. You will grow revenue by promoting insulation products and services while coaching a seasoned sales team and maintaining key accounts in the Dupo area.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction-related sales with a proven track record of meeting goals, strong communication skills, and experience managing a sales team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years sales experience in insulation, building products, or commercial construction, including team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, both personally and through a team.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or managing a sales team.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell insulation products and services while maintaining a personal book of business and active pipeline.
• Develop and maintain relationships with homeowners, builders, and general contractors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Prepare and present proposals, bids, quotations, and takeoffs tailored to customer requirements.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with operations to ensure projects are scheduled, resourced, and executed to customer expectations.
• Lead, coach, and support a seasoned team of sales representatives, providing day-to-day guidance, pricing direction, and accountability.
• Monitor individual and team performance metrics — sales volume, close rates, bid activity, and margin — and address gaps early.
• Conduct regular check-ins with each salesperson to review KPIs, pipeline status, and obstacles.
• Ensure consistent use of company processes, bid logs, estimating tools, and pricing standards.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new sales team members.
• Collaborate with location leadership to set team goals and sales strategy.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within assigned markets.
• Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and new developments.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity and keep leadership informed through consistent, data-driven updates.
• Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer‑first attitude.
• This is a hybrid role combining outside field sales with team leadership; the employee regularly meets customers and prospects at their locations and other off‑site environments.
