Job summary

AECOM's transportation team in Atlanta is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of Georgia roadway projects. You will conduct engineering analyses, modeling, and plan production while collaborating with lead engineers and project managers.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to apply GDOT standards on diverse projects, from safety improvements to mobility enhancements across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline with 2 years of roadway project management experience.
• Georgia PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Five years of experience designing roadway projects.
• Experience designing Georgia roadway projects.
• Sponsorship for US employment is not available.
• Relocation is not an option for this position.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway design calculations, models, plan sheets, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform self-checks and address comments to ensure deliverables' accuracy.
• Support Lead Engineers with technical analyses and design development.
• Apply GDOT standards and requirements to tasks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.
• Track task assignments, schedule, and level of effort.
• Identify and communicate technical issues or risks early.
