Job summary

AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta is seeking a Roadway Program Manager to provide strategic oversight of roadway programs and multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses on delivering client objectives, operational excellence, and long‑term program performance, with a hybrid work option.

The position emphasizes leadership of complex transportation projects, client relationship management, risk control, and adherence to GDOT policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering with 8+ years in roadway project delivery and leadership.
Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
Strong knowledge of GDOT policies, procedures, and plan development processes.

Responsibilities

Provide overall program leadership for roadway design contracts and transportation programs.
Serve as primary client contact and build trusted relationships to support long-term objectives.
Manage program scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and performance across multiple projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and resources to ensure efficient, successful project delivery.
Monitor program performance metrics and drive delivery improvements and client satisfaction.
Lead project managers and technical leads in roadway, drainage, traffic, ROW, utilities and construction support.
