Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to develop transportation designs from concept through final design under senior guidance. You will contribute to geometric layouts, alignments, drainage, and construction documentation while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects for TxDOT and other agencies.

You will work in a hybrid environment, gaining responsibility over design tasks and client interactions as you grow within the transportation practice.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 4–10+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.
• Hybrid office/field environment; may involve exposure to outdoor conditions in project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review roadway, highway, and multimodal design plans and calculations.
• Apply design standards to ensure compliant, constructible deliverables.
• Develop alignments, grading, drainage coordination, and traffic maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated transportation solutions.
• Support bidding and construction phases by addressing RFIs and site conditions.
