Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Staff RN I for General Medicine & Geriatrics in a hybrid setting, combining in-clinic and remote work in the West County/St. Louis area. You will triage, coordinate care, educate patients, and support geriatric assessments with emphasis on polypharmacy and falls risk.

The position requires collaboration with physicians and care teams, strong patient education, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois per Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required; some online variants not sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Provides direct patient care including medication administration and procedures as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families on disease processes and symptom management.
• Maintains accurate medical records and coordinates care with health-care team.
• Supports examinations, prescriptions, refills and other direct care activities.
