Job summary

Midcoast FCU in Freeport seeks a detail-oriented Risk Manager to strengthen enterprise risk, compliance, and fraud programs. You will work with the Vice President of Risk Management to translate strategy into compliant operational practices.

The role oversees day-to-day risk activities, vendor management, audits, and staff development. A hybrid in-office presence is required to support cross-functional collaboration and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, fraud, or related functions.
• Two-year college degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work cross-functionally, and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Execute enterprise risk management and compliance programs, including risk assessments and monitoring.
• Oversee BSA/AML, fraud, and vendor management activities with timely investigations.
• Coordinate audits and exam activities, track findings and remediation.
• Lead and develop Risk Specialists through coaching and performance feedback.
• Support training initiatives and maintain procedures for consistency and efficiency.
