Job summary

Velocity Credit Union seeks an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and continuously enhance our compliance program. This role involves interpreting federal and Texas state regulations, guiding business units through updates, and ensuring consumer protection compliance across marketing and disclosures.

The position requires collaborating with leadership, internal audit, and the board, while developing the compliance team and driving a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of compliance/risk management experience in financial institutions.
• CUCO, CRCM or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the compliance program across the organization.
• Monitor regulatory changes and guide business units through implementations.
• Conduct risk assessments, monitoring, and investigations to mitigate risk.
• Review disclosures and marketing for consumer protection compliance.
• Develop and deliver compliance training across the company.
• Collaborate with internal audit and leadership on risk and reporting.
• Coach and develop compliance team and advise the Board.
• Oversee third-party risk and vendor compliance.
