Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Fort Meade, MD, seeks an experienced RF Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for a radio frequency processing system, with hybrid work up to two days remote per week.

Responsibilities include implementing DSP software in C++, Python, and Linux, translating mathematical models into production code, integrating COTS/GOTS where needed, and collaborating with RF, systems, and software engineers to deliver robust solutions for national security programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related DSP-focused discipline.
• 7+ years of DSP algorithm development experience on projects with similar software processes.
• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly.
• 7+ years of experience in C++, Linux, Python, or similar development technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and optimize DSP algorithms in software.
• Develop algorithms for high-throughput signal exploitation and processing.
• Translate DSP concepts into production software implementations.
• Modify existing software to meet Government requirements.
• Integrate COTS and GOTS products into RF software systems.
• Collaborate with software, RF, and systems engineers throughout the lifecycle.
