Job summary

Hillcrest Children and Family Center seeks a Billing Director to oversee the organization’s revenue life cycle, from credentialing to final claims adjudication, proactively alerting leadership to write-offs and optimizing revenue.

You will lead cross-department workflows, manage payer relationships, and design processes to minimize errors while pursuing favorable outcomes for the organization. The role is hybrid with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Healthcare Admin, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of billing, billing management, and account management experience in behavioral health, mental health, or clinic settings.
• Billing and coding certifications preferred (e.g., CPB, CPC, CRCR).
• Experience with behavioral health EMR systems and billing matrices configuration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credentialing to link clinicians to payers per specs.
• Pre-auditing billing for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Ensure timely claim submission with minimal errors.
• Post insurance claims accurately.
• Serve as primary POC for external payers and follow up on denials.
