Job summary

Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS) invites qualified applicants for the Retirement Specialist role. Under the Retired Members Manager, you will handle mid-level support for Member Services and Retired Department, addressing pension inquiries and processing retirement accounts.

You may remotely work within Arizona based on performance; PSPRS supports a statewide remote work program with possible hybrid arrangements. A strong emphasis on accuracy and service defines this role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retirement and health benefits.
• Familiarity with privacy regulations.
• Understanding of pension payment systems.
• Ability to explain complex policies clearly.
• Proficient in records management.
• Strong grammar and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish basic retirement records for members for pension payroll.
• Process and review data changes to accounts (name, address, tax, deposits).
• Provide administrative support: ACH returns, mailings, scanning, insurance docs.
• Provide customer service to members, retirees, boards, and agencies.
• Respond to retirement benefits and health insurance questions via multiple channels.
• Provide STARS system technical assistance for members.
• Assist with special tasks/projects as assigned.
