Job summary

Ross Stores, a Fortune 500 off-price retailer with over 2,200 stores, is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent in New York to monitor stores, deter theft, and document incidents while upholding our integrity, respect, and teamwork values.

You will work with LP Field Leaders and investigations teams, use CCTV and reporting tools, and partner with law enforcement to resolve theft cases and ensure a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in loss prevention, retail, or security.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners including law enforcement.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with associates at all levels.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve with urgency.
• Compliance with applicable federal and state security laws and background checks.
• Ability to make quality judgments in quick response times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances/exits and sales floor to identify theft or fraudulent behavior.
• Observe dishonest actions to prevent loss.
• Utilize CCTV and reporting tools to detect theft indicators and validate incidents.
• Accurately document incidents, maintain evidence, and report to leadership and investigations.
• Partner with leadership and law enforcement to resolve theft cases and support apprehensions.
• Assist with trespass enforcement for repeat offenders.
• Collaborate with internal teams on major theft incidents and follow-up investigations.
• Identify and report safety hazards and operational vulnerabilities to store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support loss prevention objectives.
