Rhone is seeking a Controller in Stamford, CT to lead all accounting operations across its retail and digital channels. You will oversee the month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in accounting, including 4+ years in retail or multi-unit settings, and a CPA with strong knowledge of US GAAP. This role collaborates across finance, operations, and tax, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required.
• 15+ years accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a retail or multi-unit environment.
• Public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• ERP systems experience; NetSuite preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Lead and manage all tax reporting and filing as well as business/corporate compliance matters.
• Lead annual audit process with external auditors; ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Manage treasury functions: cash management, banking relationships, and financial risk management.
• Maintain and improve internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Oversee inventory accounting: reconciliation, shrink reserves, and COGS accuracy.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures; implement process/system changes with growth and compliance.
• Make recommendations for changes; enforce policies and fraud prevention measures.
• Mentor and develop accounting team; foster high performance and collaboration.
