Job summary

Cherry Bekaert in Boston is seeking an Audit Senior to lead engagements, develop audit approaches, and oversee staff in a hybrid work model. You will guide engagement teams and ensure high-quality financial reporting and client service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in public accounting, a bachelor’s in accounting (Masters preferred), CPA eligibility or certification, and strong multi-tasking and leadership abilities. Engagement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Experience using Engagement is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; Masters preferred.
• CPA certified or eligible to obtain CPA license.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Acquisition Accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client specific risks.
• Develop audit approach to be used by the engagement teams.
• Instruct and oversee staff throughout engagements.
• Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
• Financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Complete general audit procedures and coordination of closing communications.
• Research technical issues using online tools.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned.
