Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks an experienced IT Vendor Management professional to lead vendor management initiatives and oversee enterprise IT acquisitions and third-party services.

The role requires coordinating with technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring governance, performance, risk management, and compliance with OCIO policies. A hybrid remote work option is available.

Qualifications

• IT Vendor Management experience across multiple IT disciplines and vendor relationships.
• Experience evaluating vendor-provided technology products and services with SME input.
• Experience developing/responding to procurement solicitations (RFXs).
• Ability to develop IT contracts/work orders with clear requirements and SLAs.
• Experience analyzing complex tech requirements and coordinating solutions with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and enterprise environments.
• Experience with vendor lifecycle management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational planning for technology vendor management support services.
• Lead technology acquisition planning aligning with agency strategic plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define acquisition requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and manage day-to-day contracting needs.
• Lead vendor discussions to resolve issues and escalations.
• Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts and acquisitions.
• Establish and maintain vendor contracts/acquisitions.
• Develop vendor engagement processes ensuring communication and shared expectations.
• Analyze vendor risk and conduct due diligence.
• Develop guidelines for vendor evaluation and management per policy.
