• Obtain required authorizations for visits, procedures, and medications.
• Investigate incomplete referrals and follow up to ensure proper processing.
• Respond to messages related to patient referrals to support scheduling and continuity of care.
• Maintain organized filing for referral documents and records.
• Route referral information using electronic systems or phone communication.
• Answer and direct calls from physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient communication.
• Support patient safety by adhering to emergency policies and service standards.
