Job summary

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Professional Corporation seeks a Patent Prosecution Specialist to join its Patents and Innovation team. The role handles filings, docket management, and USPTO documents under attorney guidance, with overtime as needed, supporting a diverse client portfolio including tech and life sciences companies.

The position is available on a hybrid or fully remote basis, with standard hours 9:00AM–5:00PM PT. Candidates should have 5+ years in U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in U.S. Patent Prosecution or legal assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of CFR/MPEP and USPTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage client portfolios including filings, docketing, and correspondence.
• Prepare, e-file, and report filing of USPTO documents (applications, responses, etc.).
• Maintain communication with clients, attorneys, and paralegals to meet deadlines.
• Oversee docketing and reminders for US patent prosecution deadlines.
• Assist with new matter intake and portfolio reporting.
