You’ll identify financing opportunities, structure qualified loan requests, and guide projects from initial conversations through credit underwriting, with a focus on SBA 504 eligibility and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field and/or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of underwriting, credit analysis, commercial lending, or related banking environment.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, financial ratios, credit information, and other financial data.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve questions independently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify risks, and draw appropriate conclusions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial and business information.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Must reside in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Develop lending relationships that support organizational growth and mission.
• Market lending programs to business owners, lenders, and referral sources.
• Build relationships with banks, credit unions, business owners, community organizations, and other partners.
• Participate in community events, professional organizations, trainings, and business development activities.
• Meet with business owners to understand financing needs and identify appropriate solutions.
• Initiate and structure SBA 504 loan opportunities.
• Ensure loan requests meet applicable SBA requirements and policies.
• Collect financial and business information needed for underwriting and complete credit analysis in compliance with program requirements.
• Manage multiple loan opportunities from initial contact through credit underwriting.
• Maintain timely, professional communication with customers, partners, SBA, and internal team members.
• Provide training and educational programs for lenders and referral sources.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with prospects, applicants, customers, and lending partners.
• Deliver a high level of service and contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
