Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in legal research in a law firm (required).
• A Bachelor’s Degree (required) and MLS or equivalent degree (preferred).
• Experience with electronic research sources such as Westlaw, CoCounsel, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, Practical Law, VitalLaw and other standard law library applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CoPilot and SharePoint applications.
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity in identifying relevant and creative solutions.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Superior client service and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth research and analysis to support attorneys, staff and clients.
• Support the effective use of research tools and resources; collaborate with practice groups.
• Participate in training, outreach and special projects as needed.
• Manage multiple research requests and projects with competing deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources to identify relevant authorities and insights.
• Collaborate with attorneys and Knowledge Services team to understand information needs and deliver research solutions.
• Assist with or develop research training for attorneys, staff, lateral hires, summer associates and clients.
• Promote efficient use of research tools and services through outreach and office visits.
• Participate in evaluation and selection of research resources and services.
• Contribute to special projects under Knowledge Services leadership.
