Job summary

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP is seeking a Legal Research Training Analyst to join a collaborative Research Services team. The role blends sophisticated legal research with developing and delivering training programs for attorneys and staff, across the firm’s West Coast footprint and beyond.

The position offers remote or hybrid work options. Ideal candidates will have an MLS/MLIS, 3+ years in a law library or equivalent, and proven experience with Lexis, Westlaw, and related resources, plus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLS, MLIS, or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a law firm, academic law library, court library, or comparable legal information environment.
• Experience conducting legal research using Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, HeinOnline, and related resources.
• Experience designing and coordinating training programs, workshops, presentations, or instructional content.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal, business, and competitive intelligence research support to attorneys and staff.
• Develop live and virtual legal research training programs for attorneys and staff.
• Create engaging online on-demand training materials, presentations, and intranet resources.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and propose enhancements to improve learner engagement.
• Coordinate vendor training events and stay current on legal research platforms and AI tools.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation programs for new attorneys and staff.
