Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd in Atlanta seeks a Business Development Manager to advance the pipeline, coordinate the CRM, and translate market insights into pursuit strategies. This role will partner with the BD Director, firm partners, and studio leaders to move opportunities from identification to submission.

You will oversee a BD Coordinator, maintain accurate CRM records, and contribute to data-driven growth. Hybrid/remote work is allowed to support proactive engagement and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in business development, marketing, or client development—preferably in A/E/C industries.
• Strong knowledge of CRM platforms and pipeline management; experience with Unanet or similar tools.
• Ability to maintain accurate, current CRM records and translate data into reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with senior leaders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the BD pipeline in Unanet: manage opportunities, leads, pursuits, and contacts.
• Keep pipeline records current and meaningful for decision-making by leadership.
• Manage client and partner relationships within Unanet; ensure data governance and deduplication.
• Report on pipeline health and surface trends, gaps, and opportunities for strategic adjustment.
• Develop market intelligence summaries to inform pursuit strategy and go/no-go decisions.
• Build and maintain pursuit plans with win themes and client messaging priorities.
• Support seller-doers with outreach tools, meeting notes, and post-event follow-ups.
• Supervise the BD Coordinator and coordinate with Marketing Operations to align calendars and materials.
