Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeks an Accountant III to lead finance settlements with partner agencies and manage complex reconciliations in SAP GL. You will drive accuracy in receivables and payables, coordinate with NCTA staff, and implement improvements across back-office systems.

Hybrid work is available with weekly onsite presence. A Bachelor's in accounting and 4 years of professional accounting experience are preferred, along with strong Excel and internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 18 accounting hours.
• Four years of professional accounting/auditing experience.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly interagency settlements and receivables/payables with toll agencies.
• Reconcile cashflow revenue and perform BOS-related GL activities in SAP.
• Coordinate with Accounting Manager and NCTA staff for process improvements.
• Serve as technical lead for end-to-end testing of new tolling processes.
