Job summary

Rue Insurance’s Account Managers serve as trusted advisors, liaising between clients and carriers to ensure accurate, timely work and excellent client service for commercial accounts under $25k in premium.

They manage renewals, onboarding, and marketing submissions, proactively educate clients, and maintain long-term relationships to support retention goals. Strong communication, organization, and industry knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial lines account management experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and work with urgency.
• Demonstrated client servicing mindset and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage servicing of a book of business including renewals, changes, proofs of insurance, and onboarding new clients.
• Process client coverage renewals with data, obtain quotations, analyze changes, and bind coverage.
• Prepare marketing submissions and coordinate with Marketing until renewal or replacement.
• Identify opportunities to educate clients and recommend new coverage to minimize risk.
• Handle client requests promptly with professionalism.
• Adhere to agency service standards.
• Independently handle routine servicing without producer involvement.
• Build/maintain long-term client relationships to aid retention.
• Provide clear coverage/billing answers including rate fluctuations.
• Follow agency processes including Epic workflows and records retention.
• Participate in client visits with producers.
• Engage in educational programs to maintain professional designations.
• Follow E&O guidelines.
• Attend department and company meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
